Spiked Hot Apple Cider
To celebrate World Rum Day 2020 and due to it being winter here in South Africa, we decided to share this delicious recipe. On a cold winters day, few things are as comforting as a mulled apple cider spiked with our decadent Oak Infused Rum.
Below I will give you two ways to make this tasty drink and a happy World Rum Day to all!

Ingredients:
Method 1
4 cups apple cider or fresh apple juice
1 1/2 cups Oak Infused Rum
4 cinnamon sticks
6 whole allspice berries
10 whole cloves
1 orange (sliced)
Method 2
3 bottles (330ml) of Über Flavour Apple and Cinnamon Rooibos Iced Tea
1 1/2 cups Oak Infused Rum
6 whole allspice berries
10 whole cloves
1 orange (sliced)
Instructions:
For both versions, in a large pot combine all the ingredients except the Rum.
Stir and cover.
Heat and slowly bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Lower the heat, cover, and allow to simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Add the Rum and continue simmering for another 30 mins, again stirring occasionally.
Transfer to insulated punch bowl and serve in mugs, or keep it covered on the stove and heat it up periodically.
